Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences Date: 19-11-2019

The Government established the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) on 11 March 1980 as an autonomous body. With the objective of further developing the educational and research facilities, the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature passed a bill making Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) a university in 1989.

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Hyderabad is one of the premier institutions and an autonomous university in the state. The college was established with the objective to create a center of excellence for providing medical care, education and research facilities of high order in the field of medical sciences.

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences is recognized by Medical council of India and it's an autonomous body.

The college offers under graduate, post graduate medical, post graduate diploma and super speciality courses.

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences is attached to 946 bedded teaching hospital.

The college campus is spread over an area of about 23 acres and has world class infrastructure with all the facilities.
