Establishment Facts:

On June 30, 1953, Dr TMA Pai with former Prime Minister Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri inaugurate of KMC Manipal, India’s 1st pvt medical college. The Medical Relief Society of South Kanara joined hands with the college in setting up a hospital in Manipal. Kasturba Hospital started in May 1961, with 150 beds and today hospital has 2032 beds.

Manipal become a global education town of 28000 students from 57 countries. It also has nearly 2500 faculty and almost 10000 other support and service staff, who cater to the various professional institutions in health sciences, engineering, management, communication and humanities which dot the Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The University has off-campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore, and off-shore campuses in Dubai (UAE) and Melaka (Malaysia). The Mangalore campus offers medical, dental, and nursing programs.

Kasturba Medical College MBBS & Master Degree Courses Lists:

The MBBS course is offered at KMC, Manipal and KMC, Mangalore. Its duration is four and a half years plus one year of compulsory rotating internship course. This is recognised by the General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council. The course conducts theory classes and clinical training according to MCI guidelines.

Kasturba Medical College Admission Eligibility & Process:

Kasturba Medical College offers MBBS course under its UG program. The minimum eligibility criterion to take admission in MBBS course is to score 50% marks in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as subjects. The final selection of the candidates in the course is based on the merit of NEET.
