Warangal Regional Medical Education Society founded Kakatiya Medical College in the year 1959. The medical college is located in Warangal district.

The medical college aims to provide global leadership in human development, excellence in education and health care and to produce skilled health care professionals to provide quality treatment.

Kakatiya Medical College is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada and recognized by the Medical council of India (MCI).

The medical college offers undergraduate MBBS course with an annual intake of 200, postgraduate medical courses namely, MD and MS and postgraduate diploma courses in different disciplines.

The postgraduate medical courses are as follows:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Microbiology, Pediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Radio Diagnosis, Community Medicine, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases and Anatomy.

Master of Surgery (MS) in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General Surgery and Orthopaedics.

PG Diploma in  Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Anesthesiology, Child Health, Clinical Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Public Health, Radio Diagnosis, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases. 

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital is one of the largest health care providers in the state of Telangana and is the teaching hospital of Kakatiya Medical College. The hospital has a daily outpatient figure of around 1800 patients. This 1450 bedded hospital caters to the health care needs of patients in and around the city. The hospital stands as a tertiary health care provider with different health specialties under one roof.

Kakatiya Medical College is also attached to other hospitals like Government Maternity Hospital Hanamkonda, Chandra Kanthaiah Memorial Hospital, Regional Eye Hospital and Regional [TB] and Chest Hospital.

Kakatiya Medical College has 152.17 acres of sprawling campus. The faculty of the college is all highly qualified and experienced doctors. The medical college is well equipped with all facilities like laboratories, library, lecture halls, impressive auditorium, sports and recreation facilities, hostel.
